Hide your activities on the Internet
Someone may be watching your activities on the Internet.
Your attacker can see the websites you have visited, but you can do certain things to hide your activities on the Internet.
One way is to do searches on your work computer, at friends’ houses or at the library.
To hide your computer search activities, clear your browsing history. The search engine’s cache and browsing history contain a list of the most recently visited web pages. Clearing the cache will delete the list of websites.
Steps to take to clear your browsing history on various search engines

To clear the history completely
- Open Chrome on your computer.
- At the top right, click More .
- Click History History
- On the left, click Clear browsing data. A dialogue box will appear. Click Clear data.
- Use the drop-down menu to select the amount of data you want to delete. To clear everything, select All time.
To delete an item from your history
You can delete certain parts of your history.
- Open Chrome on your computer.
- At the top right, click More.
- Click History History.
- Check the box next to each item you want to remove from your history.
- At the top right, click Delete.
- Confirm by clicking Remove.

To clear the history completely.
- Open the Internet on your computer.
- Locate the menu bar
- Click the gear icon (tools) and select Internet Options.
- In the General tab, under Browsing History, click Delete.
- Remember to click Apply before clicking OK.
* Once the browsing history has been cleared, you can visit entertainment or news sites so that the cache still contains a list of websites.
